On October 1st 2010, The 11th Lectureship for Life was given by: Eduardo, Bruera, M.D., Professor of Medicine, F.T. McGraw Chair in the Treatment of Cancer and Chair, Department of Palliative Care and Rehabilitation Medicine at The University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Bruera’s lecture was entitled “Palliative Cancer Care for Patients and Healthcare Professionals”. Also in 2010, it was proposed that the Ferrari Lectureship for Life continue to be presented annually, but to perhaps alternate presentations between Columbus, Ohio (The Ohio State University Medical Center) and Houston, Texas (The Methodist Hospital Research Institute together with M.D. Anderson Cancer Center) as Dr. Ferrari and family have resided in Houston, Texas for the past several years.
